That's A Wrap.

As the summer is coming to close I can't help but just express the happiness that I've felt these past 4 months. Don't get me wrong, there's a big part of me that enjoys school and the whole college experience, but it can get a little exhausting and I need some time to recuperate. Surprisingly, although this summer hasn't been super eventful, it definitely has been one for the journal. I've experienced so many little things that I could have never predicted would happen. I feel as if I grew more this summer and have learned more about myself than I have in my whole college career and life haha and I absolutely love that. I love where I'm at in life. I feel comfortable and at peace with who I am and who I'm becoming; I mean isn't that one of the many things we're all looking for? Regardless, that's huge for me and I can say I'm thrilled to have gotten to this point in life :). Ever since my junior year of high school I've struggled with a few questions like: "Who am I? What is my purpose? Where is my life headed?" and these are by far not the easiest questions to answer, but I've found that by living each day with the mentality of being "the best we can be" and giving our all, we can surprise ourselves with accomplishing more than we could have ever dream of.

With that said, I aspire to be someone who is confident, hardworking, and kind to others. I know that these goals are never going to be fully "checked" of the list, because they are attributes that I will have to work on every single day of my life, but I know in the long run they are going to bless my life in numerous ways. I'm so excited for the future and for what life has in store for me.

Travel Enthusiast.

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. Whether it's with others or just by myself, I'm up for the adventure. What really intrigues me about traveling is the ability to meet new people, experience different cultures, trying new foods (duh!), and making everlasting memories.

Last year I was able to spend my whole summer in Northern Virginia, which was only 30 minutes away from the beautiful DC area. During that time on the East coast, I was able take a quick day trip to New York and Delaware, where I was able to explore the cities. I was also given the chance to meet up with my mom in Guangzhou, China. From there, we traveled to both Xian and Beijing. Ever since this little traveling spree, I have become a little obsessed with traveling. I jump at any opportunity to travel, because there is no better way to grow than to explore the world and the opportunity that it has in store for you.

The big trip that I have planned for this year is to Moscow, Russia. I'll be traveling with my sister-in-law and we're going to visit a close family friend who's currently living in Moscow. I'm not going to lie and say that I've always dreamed of going to Russia, in fact, I've never really had a deep desire to visit. But as I've been researching, I've started to realize that Russia is such a historical and beautiful place! I can't wait to walk around Red Square and see Saint Basil's Cathedral and the Kremlin District. Although I've heard the food can be rather bland, I think I'll be able to find something that'll catch my taste. :)

Enduring Love

This video on enduring love touched my heart. The way in which this man cares for his wife is absolutely beautiful.
